Trust or structural assumption

≥ 1 honest inclusion-list member

In plain words

Not math: in the planned FOCIL upgrade, one honest committee member out of 16 is enough to stop censorship.

Why it matters: Makes it much harder to keep transactions out of blocks.

The details

On the map: out of 16 per slot: FOCIL's censorship resistance (not cryptographic)

Not a cryptographic assumption. With FOCIL, 16 validators per slot each publish a list of pending transactions that the next block must include, and other validators enforce it through fork choice[1].

Censorship resistance needs only one of the 16 to be honest: a single honest list forces the transactions in.

Rests on

If any of these breaks, this breaks too.

If it falls

If this breaks, these break with it.
